Why we begin here
Dogs aren't interchangeable. Some thrive in a lively group; others need a slower introduction or a different type of activity. Before joining regular hikes, every new dog begins with a $125 First Adventure, combining an introductory outdoor outing with practical observation and guidance.
What we look at
We pay attention to your dog's comfort around other dogs and people, leash manners, responsiveness to cues, ability to settle and recover from excitement, energy level, and comfort with transportation and new environments. We adjust the experience to the dog and conditions rather than forcing a particular outcome.
What you'll hear afterward
Our team will explain whether your dog appears ready for regular group hikes, whether a gradual introduction or additional training may help, or whether pack hiking isn't the right fit at this time. We can discuss appropriate next steps, including DEN training resources where relevant.
After approval
Pack-ready dogs may join $65 regular hikes with round-trip shuttle or choose 10- and 20-hike packages. The first assessment is a separate $125 service and does not guarantee acceptance.
To begin: tell us about your dog, including age, social history, energy level and pickup neighborhood.
